After a defensive mix-up in Yildizeli's zone, Kubilay Özcan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nedim Genişyürek came out of the goal and Kubilay Özcan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 played minutes Yildizeli got a freekick which was hit by Ferman Süleymanoğlu. 25 minutes into the match, Yildizeli's goal looked a bit too open when Birol Teren came free, but Nedim Genişyürek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Ferman Süleymanoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Zikri Taykurt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nedim Genişyürek skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Yildizeli getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ali Çağrı Taciroğlu hit a great ball. Melih Cevdet Eripek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cankut Dilsaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferman Süleymanoğlu was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oğuzalp Tayfun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oğuzalp Tayfun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melih Cevdet Eripek having to interfere. Nedim Genişyürek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birol Teren, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yildizeli's goalkeeper Nedim Genişyürek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kubilay Özcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nedim Genişyürek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nedim Genişyürek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kubilay Özcan in the 88th minute of play. When Birol Teren came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Terme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birol Teren couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Yildizeli's Nedim Genişyürek got control of the ball when Kubilay Özcan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Altuğ Oğuzata charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Altuğ Oğuzata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Terme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Altuğ Oğuzata to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oğuzalp Tayfun in the 95th minute of play forced Terme's goalkeeper Melih Cevdet Eripek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
