The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tarakli's goalkeeper Muhsin Perker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emrah Ulusan struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Can Cansoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarakli. After 18 played minutes Mecidiyeköy got a freekick which was hit by Avni Tuner. Tolga Neval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Can Cansoy having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Mecidiyeköy's goal looked a bit too open when Emrah Ulusan came free, but Can Cansoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Muhsin Perker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burak Hazar in the 36th minute of the match. Samim Eyüpoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Muhsin Perker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğukan Şükrü in the 44th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emrah Ulusan was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th match minute, Tarakli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çakır Ayman to maneuver through the defense. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mecidiyeköy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
