Abdurrahman Onay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sezen Sancaktar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Ali Faruk Ulu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Sezen Sancaktar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dilaver İmge in the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ceyhan Vurgun during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ceyhan Vurgun hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Abdurrahman Onay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Sezen Sancaktar made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Alaaddin Arslanşah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th match minute, Basmakci FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceyhan Vurgun to maneuver through the defense. Abdurrahman Onay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sezen Sancaktar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dilaver İmge to make the kick off. Ceyhan Vurgun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Günesli JK's Ahmet Hayri Titiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Günesli JK from getting a goal against them. After 56 minutes, Egemen Başar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Günesli JK and the Basmakci FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Egemen Başar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tekin Bintuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Dilaver İmge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sezen Sancaktar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Tekin Bintuğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Günesli JK's Dilaver İmge got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cüneyt Behram's late challenge caught a Günesli JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cüneyt Behram helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Günesli JK booed when Basmakci FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cüneyt Behram didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th match minute, Günesli JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dilaver İmge to maneuver through the defense.
