Ayberk Fırıncı took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Fikret Delfin. Ahmet Fikret Delfin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Edremit JK's Ayberk Fırıncı got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes in the game, Behiç Artuç fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ahmet Fikret Delfin having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Diyarbakir got a freekick which was hit by Tayfun Selahaddin. After a rather tough play, Edremit JK's Behiç Artuç got a free kick in the 19th minute. Ahmet Fikret Delfin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Behiç Artuç, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Gürol Serbülend fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edremit JK's protests and gave Gürol Serbülend a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Diyarbakir booed when Edremit JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürol Serbülend didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bayram Erakıncı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rauf Akdeniz having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Nedim Seci put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rauf Akdeniz. If Nedim Seci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th match minute, Diyarbakir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tamer Haymanalı to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Fikret Delfin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Behiç Artuç showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 40 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Edremit JK's Savaşer Cumhur got a free kick in the 45th minute. Nedim Seci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rauf Akdeniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bayram Erakıncı to strike the kick off in the second half. Diyarbakir's Bayram Erakıncı managed to work through Edremit JK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bayram Erakıncı dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 60 minutes into the match, Diyarbakir's Bayram Erakıncı sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rauf Akdeniz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nedim Seci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rauf Akdeniz having to interfere. In the 67th minute Bayram Erakıncı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rauf Akdeniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Diyarbakir's Tamer Haymanalı got a free kick in the 69th minute. Feyyaz Abdulhakimoğlu missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 71 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ahmet Fikret Delfin right hand side. Edremit JK's Behiç Artuç got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Behiç Artuç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ahmet Fikret Delfin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Diyarbakir's goal looked a bit too open when Ayberk Fırıncı came free, but Ahmet Fikret Delfin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Edremit JK had won after a very even match.
