Otlukbeli's Asaf Akasma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürhan Pektay in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Otlukbeli's Melih Cevdet İmar got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Gürhan Pektay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Otlukbeli's zone, Ahmet Nasir Tuğrul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 60th minute, Gürhan Pektay had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Mehmet Emre Hisar fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Otlukbeli's protests and gave Mehmet Emre Hisar a yellow card for diving instead. Mehmet Emre Hisar hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. A collision led to Otlukbeli getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mustafa Hakan Sulasi hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Mustafa Cumhur Sahadettin in the 66th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Asaf Akasma's left hand side. Ahmet Nasir Tuğrul struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Asaf Akasma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kocaelispor. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Otlukbeli's goalkeeper Asaf Akasma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ahmet Nasir Tuğrul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asaf Akasma having to interfere. Tümer İlksen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alkın Nurtekin in the 81st minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Kocaelispor's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tuncer Hirfet fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alkın Nurtekin in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tümer İlksen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Kocaelispor's Artaç Öktürk got a free kick in the 96th minute.
