In the 18th minute of the match Metehan Başdoğan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tuna Ekin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Asaf Özilhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mehmet Emin Özduru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İsmail Tekinalp to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by İsmail Tekinalp in the 52nd minute of play forced Torul FK's goalkeeper Tuna Ekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Cevat Özduru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Emin Özduru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, one of Torul FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Torul FK. The Sekerspor FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sekerspor FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
