If Mustafa Namık Tuygun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehmet Hakkı Resulhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rauf Ercan having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Ahmet Korkut Uçur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kücükköyspor JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray the free kick. After 13 played minutes Kücükköyspor JK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Korkut Uçur. In the 14th minute, Mustafa Namık Tuygun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 20 played minutes Kücükköyspor JK got a freekick which was hit by Tolga Alan. With his leg Rauf Ercan managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Kücükköyspor JK's Batuğ Çelikel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rauf Ercan made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Batuğ Çelikel sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Batuğ Çelikel got free with Rauf Ercan in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mehmet Hakkı Resulhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mustafa Namık Tuygun to strike the kick off in the second half.
