Mehmet Bilge Erandaç was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Baykam Özkan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baykam Özkan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Baykam Özkan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gördes FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Baykam Özkan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Bilge Erandaç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bilge Veysi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After 47 minutes, Sertaç Gökkuşağı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gördes FK and the Istinye players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an all-out effort, Istinye's Atabek Süleymanoğlu threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Refik Halit Bekiroğlu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilmi Gülen in the 66th minute of play forced Gördes FK's goalkeeper Atabek Süleymanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rüştü Sebat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atabek Süleymanoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play.
