The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armağan Tolunbay kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Cemil Uğur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mümtaz Iğdırlı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uğuralp Mutlusoy having to interfere. Mustafa Barış Seylan hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Onuralp Yeler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uğuralp Mutlusoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uğuralp Mutlusoy made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Mümtaz Iğdırlı sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ejder Nizami in the 13th minute of play forced Aydinlikevler's goalkeeper Dursun Ali Erel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aydinlikevler's Mümtaz Iğdırlı got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dursun Ali Erel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ejder Nizami in the 22nd minute of the match. When Bünyamin Cire came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Aydinlikevler fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bünyamin Cire couldn't finish the play. Mümtaz Iğdırlı could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Uğuralp Mutlusoy made a huge save. If Mümtaz Iğdırlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aydinlikevler's Dursun Ali Erel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ejder Nizami in the 36th minute of play. Afsin's Ejder Nizami got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dursun Ali Erel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cemil Uğur in the 39th minute of play. When Onuralp Yeler came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Aydinlikevler fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onuralp Yeler couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Afsin's Necmi İrgun got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 48 minutes into the game, Aydinlikevler's Mümtaz Iğdırlı nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uğuralp Mutlusoy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Onuralp Yeler to make the kick off. Ejder Ademoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Ejder Ademoğlu's late challenge caught a Aydinlikevler's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ejder Ademoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. Ejder Ademoğlu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Uğuralp Mutlusoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onuralp Yeler in the 62nd minute of play. Ejder Nizami who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Dursun Ali Erel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cemil Uğur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dursun Ali Erel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Afsin's Dursun Ali Erel threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cemil Uğur, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dursun Ali Erel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cemil Uğur went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Korcan Sezal charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Korcan Sezal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Afsin's Korcan Sezal got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute Onuralp Yeler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uğuralp Mutlusoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 played minutes Afsin got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Barış Seylan. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Onuralp Yeler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aydinlikevler's supporters rose to their feet, but Onuralp Yeler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uğuralp Mutlusoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Mümtaz Iğdırlı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85thth minute of the game Cemil Uğur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aydinlikevler's Dursun Ali Erel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dursun Ali Erel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cemil Uğur in the 90th minute of play. Mümin Çiftçi's late challenge caught a Afsin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mümin Çiftçi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th match minute, Aydinlikevler was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mümin Çiftçi to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Afsin eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
