An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahtiyar Topay in the 6th minute of play forced Harmancik's goalkeeper İnanç İnanç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Balikesir's Rüştü Ülkem got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 17 minutes, Rüştü Ülkem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balikesir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rüştü Ülkem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bahtiyar Topay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. İnanç İnanç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rüştü Ülkem might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over İnanç İnanç. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rüştü Ülkem ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Harmancik's goalkeeper İnanç İnanç, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Bahtiyar Topay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Rüştü Ülkem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tuncer Baldemir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hamdullah Tecik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tuncer Baldemir to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuncer Baldemir in the 53rd minute of play forced Balikesir's goalkeeper Mustafa Ekrem Abay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Azmi Murtaza charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Azmi Murtaza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, one of Balikesir:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Balikesir. Rüştü Ülkem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. İnanç İnanç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamdullah Tecik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tahir Eker hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Hamdullah Tecik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Ekrem Abay having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahtiyar Topay in the 88th minute of play forced Harmancik's goalkeeper İnanç İnanç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Bahtiyar Topay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tuncer Baldemir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Balikesir got a freekick which was hit by Şahin Ergönül. In the 94th match minute, Balikesir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tahir Eker to maneuver through the defense. Bahadırhan Harmandalı was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Tuncer Baldemir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Mustafa Ekrem Abay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 98 played minutes Balikesir got a freekick which was hit by Altan Türk. For all the effort they put into the match, the Balikesir players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Harmancik.
