Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Karahan Tanyel started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mustafa Ekrem Abay came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Kurucasile's Karahan Tanyel. But to his dismay, Karahan Tanyel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Rüştü Ülkem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karahan Tanyel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Ekrem Abay having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Kurucasile's goal looked a bit too open when Bahtiyar Topay came free, but Behzat Tulun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Balikesir's Bahtiyar Topay in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kurucasile's goalie prevented a goal. Behzat Tulun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bahtiyar Topay in the 33rd minute of play. Karahan Tanyel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mustafa Ekrem Abay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balikesir's Mustafa Ekrem Abay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yusuf Ziya Ramazanoğulları in the 35th minute of play. The referee gave Balikesir a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Özdemir Pekol, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kurucasile's Behzat Tulun. 1-1. Turan Pekel hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bahtiyar Topay to make the kick off. The supporters of Kurucasile booed when Balikesir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Hüseyin Oğuzalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Ekrem Abay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karahan Tanyel in the 53rd minute of play. Lütfi Ogansoy charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lütfi Ogansoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Yusuf Ziya Ramazanoğulları had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Ekrem Abay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karahan Tanyel, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 61 played minutes Balikesir got a freekick which was hit by Şahin Ergönül. If Bahtiyar Topay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Oğuzer Özerol fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kurucasile's protests and gave Oğuzer Özerol a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute of the match Özdemir Pekol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Behzat Tulun skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Balikesir's zone, Karahan Tanyel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Ekrem Abay came out of the goal and Karahan Tanyel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the match, Balikesir's goalkeeper Mustafa Ekrem Abay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yusuf Ziya Ramazanoğulları. In the 92nd minute Rüştü Ülkem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Behzat Tulun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
