With an all-out effort, Igdir's Battal Seyyit Oytun threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aşık İmar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Igdir's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gökhan Elçin in the 85th minute. When Ayhan Özveri came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Akköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ayhan Özveri couldn't finish the play. Tolga Temirkut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ayhan Özveri in the 96th minute of play.
