The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Hayyam Taluy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hayrullah Zeren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Dilaver Cangun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hayrullah Zeren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dilaver Cangun having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fevzi Boysan in the 10th minute of play forced Mengen JK's goalkeeper Acun Gökyüzü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14th play minutes Fevzi Boysan shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Acun Gökyüzü and just under the crossbar into goal. Fevzi Boysan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acun Gökyüzü read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Mücahit Akdoruk might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dilaver Cangun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mücahit Akdoruk ran back to his position shaking his head. If Fevzi Boysan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Acun Gökyüzü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kadri Bahçeli, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faik Öksüz during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Mengen JK got a freekick which was hit by Faik Öksüz. Fevzi Boysan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kadri Bahçeli in the 28th minute of play forced Mengen JK's goalkeeper Acun Gökyüzü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fevzi Boysan in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Acun Gökyüzü prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Acun Gökyüzü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fevzi Boysan, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Mengen JK's Acun Gökyüzü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kadri Bahçeli in the 40th minute of play. Mengen JK's Mücahit Akdoruk got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mücahit Akdoruk made a kick off. Mengen JK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Fevzi Boysan scored to the left of an out of position Acun Gökyüzü, making the score, 1-2. Dikili SK's Dilaver Cangun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayrullah Zeren in the 63rd minute of play. Halil İbrahim Sözer charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Halil İbrahim Sözer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hayrullah Zeren kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Acun Gökyüzü didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fevzi Boysan went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Mücahit Akdoruk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fevzi Boysan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Acun Gökyüzü tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mengen JK's Birkan Dokuzoğlu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 90thth minute of the game Mücahit Akdoruk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dikili SK's Dilaver Cangun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Hayrullah Zeren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dilaver Cangun was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Hayrullah Zeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Dikili SK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dikili SK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
