The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Yaşar Nuri Baliç came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Istinye JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yaşar Nuri Baliç couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute, Şerafettin Kantara made a precise shot to the right of Bahtiyar Tanırer. Bulancak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 7 minutes, Kürşat Şahoğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Istinye JK and the Bulancak players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bulancak booed when Istinye JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kürşat Şahoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Baran Tümer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Cezmi Yalaza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bayhan Beşer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cezmi Yalaza having to make a save. With a little luck, Istinye JK's Cezmi Yalaza got control of the ball when Bayhan Beşer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bulancak's Bahtiyar Tanırer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şerafettin Kantara in the 21st minute of play. After some careless play in the Bulancak defense, Yaşar Nuri Baliç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bahtiyar Tanırer. The Bulancak fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bahtiyar Tanırer should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Şerafettin Kantara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yiğit Can Benlioğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Istinye JK's Cezmi Yalaza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Baran Tümer in the 32nd minute of play. Bahtiyar Tanırer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şerafettin Kantara, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Bahtiyar Tanırer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yaşar Nuri Baliç's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Yavuz Selim Uluhan's late challenge caught a Istinye JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Yaşar Nuri Baliç's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bahtiyar Tanırer was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After having played for 44 minutes, Şerafettin Kantara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Istinye JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şerafettin Kantara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Bayhan Beşer struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Cezmi Yalaza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bulancak. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Istinye JK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
