Ahmet Kağan Erkılınç didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Kadiköy's goalkeeper Mehmet Arif Demirtuğ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alper Yiğithan. Mehmet Arif Demirtuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arslan Rebi in the 15th minute of play. With a little luck, Kadiköy's Mehmet Arif Demirtuğ got control of the ball when Alper Yiğithan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 22 played minutes Kadiköy got a freekick which was hit by Karadeniz Oğuzkan. When Enver Ezrak fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kadiköy's protests and gave Enver Ezrak a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Kadiköy's Güralp Akkın tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Kadiköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Korhan Şentürk to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Arif Demirtuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arslan Rebi in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Arslan Rebi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Arif Demirtuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arslan Rebi made a kick off. Korhan Şentürk kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Arslan Rebi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Arif Demirtuğ having to interfere. Arslan Rebi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kadiköy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alper Yiğithan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 72 minutes into the game, Ahmet Hakan Ergül was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kadiköy the free kick. A collision led to Zara getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ali Macit Buyruk's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Şakir İskandil firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Zara's Ahmet Hakan Ergül got a free kick in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Zara's zone, Karadeniz Oğuzkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şakir İskandil came out of the goal and Karadeniz Oğuzkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alper Yiğithan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arslan Rebi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Arif Demirtuğ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Arslan Rebi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zara's supporters rose to their feet, but Arslan Rebi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Arif Demirtuğ breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Zara players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
