To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Emirşah Sertaçgil notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Varto JK's Birsel Tayman. Birsel Tayman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Tuna Eronat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Melih Taşkıner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuna Eronat, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 37 played minutes Kozan got a freekick which was hit by Samir Kumukbay. In the 38th minute, Yavuz Selim Karginalp sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kozan's Melih Taşkıner didn't even have to move. If Emirşah Sertaçgil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuna Eronat in the 54th minute of play forced Kozan's goalkeeper Melih Taşkıner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birsel Tayman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emirşah Sertaçgil in the 57th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Varto JK's Tuna Eronat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Melih Taşkıner. That made the score 1-1 after 59 minutes of play. Birsel Tayman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basri Uluç, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Basri Uluç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Birsel Tayman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Vedat Koçyiğit during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Birsel Tayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basri Uluç in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emirşah Sertaçgil in the 91st minute of play forced Varto JK's goalkeeper Birsel Tayman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Varto JK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Kozan from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
