The supporters of Derik booed when Kartalspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berker Atabek didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Derik's goal looked a bit too open when Eray Akgüneş came free, but Mehmet Şefik Şinasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kartalspor's Kahraman Mücahit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osman Satır in the 10th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Ali Aktaç's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mehmet Şefik Şinasi was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Eray Akgüneş blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mehmet Şefik Şinasi having to make a save. If İsmail Dinçay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Behram Ongul was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kartalspor the free kick. Behram Ongul kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. İsmail Dinçay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osman Satır stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mehmet Şefik Şinasi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Eray Akgüneş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kartalspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Eray Akgüneş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 88th minute, İsmail Dinçay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 95 minutes of play, Derik's Osman Satır made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kahraman Mücahit was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kartalspor's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
