In the 25th minute, Bektaş Ali Akyol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diski fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Ahmet İlhan Şahbender received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rıfkı Sebukalp in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peker İdris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bektaş Ali Akyol was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Diski defense, Kenan Kapar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peker İdris. The Diski fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peker İdris should have stopped the shot. Mustafa Oğuz Muhittin kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Rafael Eguen was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Bektaş Ali Akyol capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bektaş Ali Akyol really showed his touch with that goal: 5-2. The supporters of Diski booed when Ankaragücü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rıfkı Sebukalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ankaragücü's Rafael Eguen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Ankaragücü from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Ankaragücü defense, Seyfettin İlkim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Eguen. The Ankaragücü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Eguen should have stopped the shot. If Ali Haydar Oğuzata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. Peker İdris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenan Kapar went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-3 was the resulting score. Ali Haydar Oğuzata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peker İdris having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Diski's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Haydar Oğuzata came free, but Peker İdris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ankaragücü fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Ankaragücü's Kenan Kapar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Ali Haydar Oğuzata came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ankaragücü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Haydar Oğuzata couldn't finish the play. Rıfkı Sebukalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ankaragücü fully deserved thier win.
