In the 11th minute, Çağdaş Baltaş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nurettin Muhtar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rüstem Özgulec in the 15th minute of the match. Rüstem Özgulec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nurettin Muhtar having to interfere. Ahmet Korkut Şenalp hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Gencal Kurtuluş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Dargecit's goal looked a bit too open when Rüstem Özgulec came free, but Nurettin Muhtar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Halit Ziya Dağasan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Balmumcu JK were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Dargecit's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bora Han Saygılı took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Dargecit's goalie and right to Çağdaş Baltaş. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Dargecit's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The supporters of Balmumcu JK booed when Dargecit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uğuralp Kani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Korkut Şenalp's late challenge caught a Balmumcu JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Korkut Şenalp helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Dargecit got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Korkut Şenalp. A hard and well directed shot from Bora Han Saygılı led 46 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Dargecit's Nurettin Muhtar became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rüstem Özgulec made a kick off. Şenol Hinoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Balmumcu JK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Remzi Saatçioğlu hit a great ball. Resulhan Enfal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Çağdaş Baltaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nurettin Muhtar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Resulhan Enfal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atıf Beytekin having to interfere. Balmumcu JK's Atıf Beytekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Resulhan Enfal in the 75th minute of play. Şenol Hinoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dargecit's Nurettin Muhtar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Dargecit from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Ahmet Korkut Şenalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Çağdaş Baltaş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balmumcu JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çağdaş Baltaş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nurettin Muhtar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çağdaş Baltaş in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Dargecit's goal looked a bit too open when Rüstem Özgulec came free, but Nurettin Muhtar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rüstem Özgulec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nurettin Muhtar was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Atıf Beytekin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Şenol Hinoğlu went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 92nd match minute, Dargecit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Korkut Şenalp to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
