The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Abdi Mustafa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of İlhan Tarab, 1-0. When Abdi Mustafa came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Pehlivanköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdi Mustafa couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Feyyaz Tefhim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Taner Hisarcık was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Abdi Mustafa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 12th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 14th minute, Özgür Ökmen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. İlhan Tarab was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Taner Hisarcık made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demiralp Özbey in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Özgür Ökmen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pehlivanköy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Özgür Ökmen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdi Mustafa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdi Mustafa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. İlhan Tarab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Menemen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pehlivanköy:s goal. Taner Hisarcık showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demiralp Özbey in the 45th minute of the match. When Atacan Tankoç fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pehlivanköy's protests and gave Atacan Tankoç a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pehlivanköy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! Hamit Serhun shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Taner Hisarcık took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demiralp Özbey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pehlivanköy's Taner Hisarcık proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Pehlivanköy from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demiralp Özbey in the 85th minute of play forced Pehlivanköy's goalkeeper Taner Hisarcık to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. İlhan Tarab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Mustafa in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Menemen were awarded a corner. Hamit Serhun went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Menemen's Erkut Yağın getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Abdi Mustafa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pehlivanköy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
