Balamir Özbay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bedir İzzettin went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Orhan Yılmaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Bedir İzzettin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Balamir Özbay was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in DERİNCEYLİNSPOR's zone, Hüsnü Özyurek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barışcan Özpolat came out of the goal and Hüsnü Özyurek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barışcan Özpolat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Galip Tuncalp in the 38th minute of the match. If Muharrem Uzalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bedir İzzettin kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Galip Tuncalp was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Develi SK's zone, Tanju Müftüoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Balamir Özbay came out of the goal and Tanju Müftüoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Develi SK's goalkeeper Balamir Özbay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tanju Müftüoğlu. In the 64th match minute, Develi SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orhan Erçelik to maneuver through the defense. Onur Ali Erem struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Balamir Özbay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DERİNCEYLİNSPOR. Aytuğ İplikçi hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Tanju Müftüoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Balamir Özbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bedir İzzettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute, Hüsnü Özyurek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nazil Sarp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balamir Özbay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bedir İzzettin in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Nazil Sarp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Develi SK's Balamir Özbay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Develi SK from getting a goal against them. After having played for 94 minutes, Bedir İzzettin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DERİNCEYLİNSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bedir İzzettin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanju Müftüoğlu got free with Balamir Özbay in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over DERİNCEYLİNSPOR could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Develi SK throughout the match.
