Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barbaros Şener fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aral Taylak having to interfere. Baturhan Yaruk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erkin Tolgan in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Fikirtepe's goal looked a bit too open when Barbaros Şener came free, but Aral Taylak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Halil Keskiner got free with Aral Taylak in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barbaros Şener in the 15th minute of play forced Fikirtepe's goalkeeper Aral Taylak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fikirtepe's Fuat Müşfik got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Halil Keskiner got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 20th minute Erkin Tolgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baturhan Yaruk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cayyolu's Baturhan Yaruk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Memduh Korkut in the 31st minute of play. Aral Taylak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barbaros Şener, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arif Memduh Korkut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baturhan Yaruk having to interfere. Barbaros Şener's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aral Taylak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erkin Tolgan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baturhan Yaruk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Cayyolu's Osman Nuri İhtiyar got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 67 minutes, İshak Engintalay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cayyolu and the Fikirtepe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Halil Keskiner struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Aral Taylak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cayyolu. Halil Keskiner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fikirtepe would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
