Cumali Belek charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cumali Belek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Demetevler's Cumali Belek got a free kick in the 27th minute. Erdoğan Serafet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Gürsu SK getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Seyhan Mutluhan hit a great ball. Salih Yay was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Şaban Trabzonlu. Erdoğan Serafet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salih Yay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devran Sayrak in the 46th minute of play forced Demetevler's goalkeeper Mustafa Necati Taif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Gürsu SK's goalkeeper Salih Yay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erdoğan Serafet. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erdoğan Serafet to make the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mustafa Necati Taif prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
