Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Remzi Yoruç started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Karsiyaka FK getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Fuat Sargan hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, MERT-SU's Mecnun Serim threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gökçen Evcimen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Karsiyaka FK's Mecnun Serim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökçen Evcimen in the 11th minute of play. Karsiyaka FK's Mecnun Serim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Karsiyaka FK from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Fuat Sargan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ercan Kazan took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saffet Cenger. Saffet Cenger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gökçen Evcimen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Atilla Kağan Tara got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ercan Kazan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karsiyaka FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ercan Kazan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saffet Cenger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute of the match Ahmet Ali Yazıcı sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saffet Cenger skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Karsiyaka FK's zone, Gökçen Evcimen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mecnun Serim came out of the goal and Gökçen Evcimen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remzi Yoruç in the 44th minute of play forced MERT-SU's goalkeeper Saffet Cenger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saffet Cenger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remzi Yoruç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gökçen Evcimen to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Karsiyaka FK's Remzi Yoruç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saffet Cenger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With a little luck, MERT-SU's Saffet Cenger got control of the ball when Ercan Kazan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remzi Yoruç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Saffet Cenger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee showed Ceyhan Ömür the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gökçen Evcimen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mecnun Serim having to interfere. Ceyhan Ömür kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Remzi Yoruç's late challenge caught a MERT-SU's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remzi Yoruç helped the player get up and apologised. Karsiyaka FK's Mecnun Serim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oğuz Mülayim in the 77th minute of play. MERT-SU's Saffet Cenger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remzi Yoruç in the 84th minute of play. Ercan Kazan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 85th playminute. When Remzi Yoruç came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Karsiyaka FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remzi Yoruç couldn't finish the play. Atilla Kağan Tara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Mecnun Serim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The MERT-SU supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Karsiyaka FK's performance. The match ended with a win for Karsiyaka FK.
