If Sedat Serir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caner Kultigin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gürbüz Aktaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Songurhan Arslanoğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Korhan Yıldızhan in the 13th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Nejat Melih kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Songurhan Arslanoğlu. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Sezgin Baysu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ensar İslamoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caner Kultigin in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sezgin Baysu saved Karliova from getting behind. Karliova's Sezgin Baysu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürbüz Aktaç in the 33rd minute of play. Sedat Serir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezgin Baysu having to interfere. Beşiktaşkkkk's Gürbüz Aktaç got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caner Kultigin made a kick off. A collision led to Beşiktaşkkkk getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. In the 60th minute, Gürbüz Aktaç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Songurhan Arslanoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Korhan Yıldızhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the game, Mustafa Ekrem Durusoy threw the ball into play from the sideline. Beşiktaşkkkk's Güney Eskioğlu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 67th minute Sedat Serir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sezgin Baysu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
