Fazıl Hüsnü Baş made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Önder Eripek sent off a good shot on target. Önder Eripek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Önder Eripek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fazıl Hüsnü Baş. Hafik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Önder Eripek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Selmi Hekim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fazıl Hüsnü Baş read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Suluova JK's Vatan Apaydın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naci Okyay in the 42nd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tekin Ergenç to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Naci Okyay got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vatan Apaydın was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Naci Okyay got free with Vatan Apaydın in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th match minute, Hafik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Işıkalp Ongunalp to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Suluova JK's Ata Nurbay tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Naci Okyay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vatan Apaydın was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 72 minutes into the game, Samim Uğurlubey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Suluova JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hafik the free kick. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Suluova JK! When Naci Okyay came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Hafik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naci Okyay couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the game, Naci Okyay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Vatan Apaydın was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vatan Apaydın made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naci Okyay in the 82nd minute. When Bahattin Bozdağ fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suluova JK's protests and gave Bahattin Bozdağ a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Bahattin Bozdağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Önder Eripek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suluova JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Önder Eripek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fazıl Hüsnü Baş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Suluova JK's Önder Eripek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fazıl Hüsnü Baş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 90 minutes, Alptuğ Özan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suluova JK and the Hafik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alptuğ Özan hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Selmi Hekim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
