The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Atıf Yenbu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsmail Cem Tulunay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the game, Reha Eraltay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Datca JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Güzelyali SK the free kick. In the 6th minute, Reha Eraltay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bircan Nesim struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Özbek Kutal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Güzelyali SK. After having played for 10 minutes, Ateş İbiş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Güzelyali SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ateş İbiş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Datca JK's Reha Eraltay got a free kick in the 11th minute. Atıf Yenbu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İsmail Cem Tulunay's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Ateş İbiş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Özbek Kutal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ateş İbiş in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Özbek Kutal saved Datca JK from getting behind. If Halis Sehriyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 33 minutes into the game, Datca JK's Mehmet Ali Dilşah nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atıf Yenbu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Atıf Yenbu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İsmail Cem Tulunay's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Bircan Nesim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özbek Kutal having to interfere. A collision led to Datca JK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ahmet İlhan Yorangil hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ateş İbiş to strike the kick off in the second half. Atıf Yenbu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Ali Dilşah, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Mehmet Ali Dilşah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atıf Yenbu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bircan Nesim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özbek Kutal having to interfere. When Altay Sanak fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Datca JK's protests and gave Altay Sanak a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Datca JK got a freekick which was hit by Altay Sanak. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ateş İbiş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güzelyali SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ateş İbiş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Özbek Kutal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Datca JK booed when Güzelyali SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Burak Kuray didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Datca JK had won after a very even match.
