Cihangir Yalçın was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Batuhan Alişan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Batuhan Alişan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Cihangir Yalçın made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Hasan Göçmen in the 12th minute. Baysal Çubuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Karliova booed when Konyaalti SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aygün Erbay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baysal Çubuk struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Adnan Bolat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karliova. Batuhan Alişan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 26th minute. Konyaalti SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Ahmet Hasan Göçmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Hasan Göçmen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Cihangir Yalçın when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Baysal Çubuk took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adnan Bolat. Adnan Bolat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Karliova's goalkeeper Cihangir Yalçın had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Hasan Göçmen. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Cafer Atikoğlu during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Konyaalti SK! In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Karliova. İsrafil Uluğ stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adnan Bolat. 1-2. If Arif Ensar Çoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baysal Çubuk to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Arif Ensar Çoğan notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Konyaalti SK's Adnan Bolat. Adnan Bolat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th minute, Ahmet Hasan Göçmen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Batuhan Alişan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cihangir Yalçın was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Batuhan Alişan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cihangir Yalçın having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arif Ensar Çoğan got free with Adnan Bolat in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kubat Hicabi hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Baysal Çubuk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adnan Bolat was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Yasin Aybar's late challenge caught a Konyaalti SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yasin Aybar helped the player get up and apologised. When Baysal Çubuk came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Karliova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baysal Çubuk couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Karliova walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
