The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alaaddin Akyel's late challenge caught a Bafra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alaaddin Akyel helped the player get up and apologised. Alaaddin Akyel kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Fuat Duran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İsa Ongay, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Eren Akbora hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, Bafra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erkut Bahçıvan to maneuver through the defense. Fuat Duran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alaaddin Akyel in the 16th minute of the match. Fuat Duran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsa Ongay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Yesilyurt's goalkeeper Çağdaş Özgun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saruhan Resai. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İsa Ongay in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fuat Duran saved Bafra from getting behind. Erkut Bahçıvan struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Çağdaş Özgun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bafra. The referee gave Bafra a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kerem Yordam, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yesilyurt's Çağdaş Özgun. 1-0. Fuat Duran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alaaddin Akyel in the 40th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Erkut Bahçıvan could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Çağdaş Özgun however easily saved by the left post. Fuat Duran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alaaddin Akyel in the 45th minute of play. Fuat Duran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alaaddin Akyel in the 48th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bafra's Erkut Bahçıvan got a free kick in the 49th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Baran Tanfer made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bafra's Oğuzkan Serdar got a free kick in the 58th minute. The supporters of Bafra booed when Yesilyurt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cengiz Balbay didn't get a good kick on the ball. A well placed Alaaddin Akyel short distance shot in the 71st minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Demirhan Bilgin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ergincan İlican recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alaaddin Akyel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Fuat Duran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fuat Duran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alaaddin Akyel, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bafra's zone, Demirhan Bilgin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fuat Duran came out of the goal and Demirhan Bilgin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bafra's goalkeeper Fuat Duran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yesilyurt were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
