The long shot by İsrafil Uluğ in the 4th minute really tested Çağdaş Özgun's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Demirhan Bilgin fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yesilyurt's protests and gave Demirhan Bilgin a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Yesilyurt got a freekick which was hit by Demirhan Bilgin. Yesilyurt's Çağdaş Özgun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yasin Aybar in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Yesilyurt's Çağdaş Özgun got control of the ball when Arif Ensar Çoğan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute, Alaaddin Akyel made a precise shot to the right of Cihangir Yalçın. Karliova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. İsa Ongay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cihangir Yalçın having to make a save. Çağdaş Özgun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baysal Çubuk in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Ergincan İlican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cihangir Yalçın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Çağdaş Özgun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yasin Aybar in the 21st minute of the match. Alaaddin Akyel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cihangir Yalçın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alaaddin Akyel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yesilyurt's Çağdaş Özgun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Yesilyurt from getting a goal against them. Yasin Aybar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Çağdaş Özgun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Alaaddin Akyel came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Yesilyurt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alaaddin Akyel couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Yesilyurt's goalkeeper Çağdaş Özgun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arif Ensar Çoğan. Cihangir Yalçın didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alaaddin Akyel went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The Karliova players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yesilyurt were winning 0-2.

52 minutes into the match, Yesilyurt's goal looked a bit too open when Baysal Çubuk came free, but Çağdaş Özgun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Çağdaş Özgun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baysal Çubuk went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 63 minutes into the match, Yesilyurt's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Ensar Çoğan came free, but Çağdaş Özgun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Çağdaş Özgun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baysal Çubuk in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kubat Hicabi in the 75th minute of play forced Yesilyurt's goalkeeper Çağdaş Özgun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. İsa Ongay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cihangir Yalçın read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Çağdaş Özgun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yasin Aybar in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Yesilyurt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aktuğ Zafer to maneuver through the defense. After 93 minutes of play, Karliova's Yasin Aybar made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Çağdaş Özgun was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over Yesilyurt could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Karliova throughout the match.
