Şimşek İzmirli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abdulkerim Tezay came out and tried to block the shot, but Şimşek İzmirli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şimşek İzmirli in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdulkerim Tezay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Topkapi SK's Ahmet Emir Akıncıbey got a free kick in the 14th minute. Şimşek İzmirli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Abdulkerim Tezay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fazıl Hüsnü Özbey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sarper Göktürk's late challenge caught a Topkapi SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sarper Göktürk helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bilkent getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Seyit Çidam hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Alkan Doğanhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Danış Akboğa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebati Kamran in the 77th minute of the match. Ahmet Efe Toregün kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Fazıl Hüsnü Özbey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fazıl Hüsnü Özbey in the 87th minute of play forced Bilkent's goalkeeper Abdulkerim Tezay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şimşek İzmirli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
