Göztepe SK's Kağan Arabacı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şehzade Ünveren in the 6th minute of play. In the 8thth minute of the game Vahap Şahoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agva's İnanç Başar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Mustafa Turan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Göztepe SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustafa Turan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İnanç Başar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cevat Settar came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Agva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cevat Settar couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Şehzade Ünveren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agva's supporters rose to their feet, but Şehzade Ünveren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kağan Arabacı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Şehzade Ünveren struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Kağan Arabacı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agva. In the 21st minute, Abayhan Cevval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Vahap Şahoğlu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of İnanç Başar. Vahap Şahoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İnanç Başar having to interfere. Vahap Şahoğlu took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised İnanç Başar. İnanç Başar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vahap Şahoğlu to make the kick off. The supporters of Agva booed when Göztepe SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güvenç Başay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kağan Arabacı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şehzade Ünveren in the 85th minute of play. Vahap Şahoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. İnanç Başar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Agva's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vahap Şahoğlu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Abayhan Cevval scored 1-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of İnanç Başar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vahap Şahoğlu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. İnanç Başar came out and tried to block the shot, but Vahap Şahoğlu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 97th minute. The Agva fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Göztepe SK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
