Zeynel Tekinsoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kemal Çile having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Kozakli JK's Abdi Saygın Cumali slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Suat Buğra. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. Kemal Çile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ayvaz Ötüken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Berkem Muhsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berkem Muhsin got free with Suat Buğra in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Suat Buğra managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Kozakli JK's Tuncer Yavuzalp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zeynel Tekinsoy struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Kemal Çile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sögütlü. Zeynel Tekinsoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kemal Çile. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeynel Tekinsoy ran back to his position shaking his head. Berkem Muhsin struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Suat Buğra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kozakli JK. Abdi Saygın Cumali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeynel Tekinsoy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ayvaz Ötüken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute Zeynel Tekinsoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kemal Çile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ertunç Kılıçer charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ertunç Kılıçer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vehdi Malik took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kemal Çile. Kozakli JK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ayvaz Ötüken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ayvaz Ötüken in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Abdi Saygın Cumali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Suat Buğra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ayvaz Ötüken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Kemal Çile made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berkem Muhsin in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Suat Buğra saved Sögütlü from getting behind. When Abdi Saygın Cumali came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Kozakli JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdi Saygın Cumali couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Ayvaz Ötüken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sögütlü's supporters rose to their feet, but Ayvaz Ötüken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kemal Çile breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kozakli JK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
