An unexpectedly hard shot by Şansal Ağar in the 3rd minute of play forced Akyurt's goalkeeper Zikri Bakanay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atilla Sartık scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zikri Bakanay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ferman Şerhenks short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Vacib Raci to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Akyurt booed when Rumelikavagi SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teoman Ergökmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akyurt's Zikri Bakanay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necdet Dindar in the 31st minute of play.
