Beşiktaş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sait Türkoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Metehan Nedret managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beşiktaş's supporters rose to their feet, but Metehan Nedret was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Oğuz Kuray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Metehan Nedret took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Oğuz Kuray. Mustafa Oğuz Kuray dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Mustafa Oğuz Kuray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sait Türkoğlu's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Beşiktaş's zone, Aktuğ Ulaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şener Akatay came out of the goal and Aktuğ Ulaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Aktuğ Ulaş came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Yenibosna FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aktuğ Ulaş couldn't finish the play. Aziz Ozanalp might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şener Akatay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aziz Ozanalp ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd minute, Aziz Ozanalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mustafa Oğuz Kuray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Metehan Nedret in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aziz Ozanalp to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aktuğ Ulaş in the 57th minute of play forced Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Şener Akatay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sait Türkoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Metehan Nedret dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mustafa Oğuz Kuray, 0-4. Mustafa Oğuz Kuray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aykutalp Özboga, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Tayfun Hızlı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sait Türkoğlu struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Mustafa Oğuz Kuray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beşiktaş. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sait Türkoğlu got free with Mustafa Oğuz Kuray in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute Metehan Nedret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Oğuz Kuray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sait Türkoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the final whistle sounded Beşiktaş left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Yenibosna FK.
