When Cebrail Ünan came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Kavaklidere SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cebrail Ünan couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Sakut Hiçsönmez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enginsu Dikici was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When Tugay Yazargil came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Battalgazi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tugay Yazargil couldn't finish the play. Sabri Çelebi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hulusi Adıgün, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 33 minutes, Hulusi Adıgün mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kavaklidere SK and the Battalgazi players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kavaklidere SK getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Hulusi Adıgün hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Battalgazi's Tugay Yazargil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enginsu Dikici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hulusi Adıgün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Tugay Yazargil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
