Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Konya's Arif Ensar Ağırtaş started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Konya's Nizam Ayhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taci Nafiz in the 5th minute of play. Nizam Ayhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taci Nafiz in the 6th minute of the match. Arif Ensar Ağırtaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mürsel Pozan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nizam Ayhan having to interfere. Taci Nafiz took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nizam Ayhan. Nizam Ayhan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 22 minutes into the game, Konya's Arif Ensar Ağırtaş nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Refik Müşfik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Metehan Kadim fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Izmit's protests and gave Metehan Kadim a yellow card for diving instead. The audience cheered when Tevfik Kapar's long shot passed Refik Müşfik's right side. It was 1-2, 32 minutes into the match. Nizam Ayhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taci Nafiz in the 35th minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, Izmit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Metehan Kadim to maneuver through the defense. If Anıl Ege Ülkem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
Refik Müşfik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Ensar Ağırtaş in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Mürsel Pozan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nizam Ayhan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Özcan Ergener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Refik Müşfik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Özcan Ergener struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Refik Müşfik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Konya. Refik Müşfik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arif Ensar Ağırtaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Izmit fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Izmit's Mürsel Pozan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Konya's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
