The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ilgaz Rekin during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cezmi Adanır showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 31st minute Ilgaz Rekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gencalp Başeskioğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kovancilar FK booed when Dudullu SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Cengiz Eryiğit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birsel Çol might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cezmi Adanır. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Birsel Çol ran back to his position shaking his head. If Birsel Çol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Gürkan Açıkel made the kick off in the second half. Kovancilar FK's Volkan Tokuş got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilgaz Rekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59thth minute of the game Gürkan Açıkel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kovancilar FK's Cezmi Adanır was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Dudullu SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kovancilar FK:s goal. Ilgaz Rekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Gencalp Başeskioğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Kovancilar FK getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ufuk Akboy hit a great ball. Birsel Çol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Birsel Çol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Kovancilar FK's Volkan Tokuş sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gencalp Başeskioğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Köksal Akpolat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kovancilar FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dudullu SK the free kick. Köksal Akpolat kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Cezmi Adanır showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürkan Açıkel in the 91st minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
