A collision led to Sahrayicedit getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fırat İklim hit a great ball. Veysel Sertaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Kadir Mutluer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdurrezzak Bulut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedri Seralp having to interfere. In the 22ndth minute of the game Veysel Sertaç who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sahrayicedit's Bedri Seralp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ali Hamza Üçer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Hakan Tamerk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hakan Tamerk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arif Cengiz Yücealp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veysel Sertaç in the 28th minute of play forced Sahrayicedit's goalkeeper Bedri Seralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Gerze JK booed when Sahrayicedit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kadir Mutluer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdurrezzak Bulut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the game, Veysel Sertaç recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bedri Seralp. Veysel Sertaç showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 36th minute Veysel Sertaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bedri Seralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bedri Seralp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdurrezzak Bulut in the 38th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Veysel Sertaç made a kick off. Sungur Arısan kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Gerze JK's Bektaş Veli Kayaer tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Abdurrezzak Bulut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedri Seralp having to interfere. Arif Cengiz Yücealp was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Arif Cengiz Yücealp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sahrayicedit's zone, Abdurrezzak Bulut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bedri Seralp came out of the goal and Abdurrezzak Bulut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th match minute, Sahrayicedit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sungur Arısan to maneuver through the defense. Gerze JK's Bektaş Veli Kayaer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sahrayicedit. The supporters of Sahrayicedit booed when Gerze JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bektaş Veli Kayaer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Görkem İsmet fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sahrayicedit's protests and gave Görkem İsmet a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali Hamza Üçer got free with Hakan Tamerk in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arif Cengiz Yücealp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sahrayicedit's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
