Gani Tuğaltan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esen Turalp in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ergincan Erçivan saved Yalova SK from getting behind. In the 9th minute, Yalova SK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gani Tuğaltan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ergincan Erçivan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nazmi İpekçi. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Galatasaray! Thanks to some nice moves Gani Tuğaltan could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Ergincan Erçivan however easily saved by the left post. Aygün Tuğaltan struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Batı Hatipoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yalova SK. Feyyaz Batır sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Ahmet Efe Taki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yalova SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray the free kick. After 37 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Naci Yetkin. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feyyaz Batır made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Yalova SK's zone, Esen Turalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ergincan Erçivan came out of the goal and Esen Turalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gani Tuğaltan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ergincan Erçivan having to interfere. Ergincan Erçivan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esen Turalp's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 61st minute, Gani Tuğaltan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Faik İnciroğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yalova SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray the free kick. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Yalova SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faik İnciroğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Esen Turalp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ergincan Erçivan was relentless in the 78th minute of the game.
