When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Müjdat Gencal took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Seyfi Özbala to make any attempt to save it. Seyfi Özbala came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Tokatspor JK's Sancar Dürüst. But to his dismay, Sancar Dürüst quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 12th minute, Acun Piruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Can Midilli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sancar Dürüst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th match minute, Tokatspor JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ant Akçalı to maneuver through the defense. Can Midilli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Yakut Temirkut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diyarbakirspor FK's Seyfi Özbala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Diyarbakirspor FK from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Sancar Dürüst got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

The wind increased when Can Midilli made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Müjdat Gencal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tokatspor JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Müjdat Gencal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seyfi Özbala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tokatspor JK's Müjdat Gencal got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seyfi Özbala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Müjdat Gencal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sancar Dürüst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Diyarbakirspor FK defense, Sancar Dürüst kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Seyfi Özbala. The Diyarbakirspor FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Seyfi Özbala should have stopped the shot. Seyfi Özbala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Müjdat Gencal in the 71st minute of play. Ant Akçalı kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Tokatspor JK's Yakut Temirkut proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Tokatspor JK from getting a goal against them. After 79 played minutes, Diyarbakirspor FK's Öztürk Tolun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yakut Temirkut came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Diyarbakirspor FK reached it. Seyfi Özbala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Müjdat Gencal, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Diyarbakirspor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Müjdat Gencal came free, but Seyfi Özbala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Müjdat Gencal in the 92nd minute of play forced Diyarbakirspor FK's goalkeeper Seyfi Özbala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Müjdat Gencal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seyfi Özbala having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tokatspor JK fully deserved thier win.
