The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erenay Mertel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sancar Dürüst in the 3rd minute. 10 minutes into the match, Kutlay Balısoy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tokatspor JK's Yakut Temirkut. Yakut Temirkut was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ramiz Uğursoy charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiz Uğursoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Tokatspor JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiz Uğursoy to maneuver through the defense. Nihat Devan's late challenge caught a Tokatspor JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nihat Devan helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sariyahsi SK! When the match had been going on for 22 minutes, Tokatspor JK's Muzaffer Namdar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Erenay Mertel. If Kutlay Balısoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 minutes, Acun Piruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tokatspor JK and the Sariyahsi SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Acun Piruz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes Sariyahsi SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet İlhan Eriş. Erenay Mertel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Müjdat Gencal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37thth minute of the game Müjdat Gencal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sariyahsi SK's Erenay Mertel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sancar Dürüst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erenay Mertel having to interfere. Müjdat Gencal in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erenay Mertel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sancar Dürüst who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Erenay Mertel when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Özcan Özker made a kick off. Erenay Mertel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Müjdat Gencal, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Erenay Mertel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sancar Dürüst in the 59th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Müjdat Gencal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erenay Mertel was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Erenay Mertel came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Tokatspor JK's Müjdat Gencal. But to his dismay, Müjdat Gencal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 73rd minute, Ahmet Nedim Saygur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sariyahsi SK booed when Tokatspor JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiz Uğursoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erenay Mertel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Müjdat Gencal in the 78th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Müjdat Gencal made a precise shot to the right of Erenay Mertel. Sariyahsi SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A collision led to Sariyahsi SK getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ahmet Nedim Saygur hit a great ball. Sariyahsi SK's Erenay Mertel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Müjdat Gencal in the 88th minute of play. Erenay Mertel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Müjdat Gencal in the 90th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Sariyahsi SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Nedim Saygur to maneuver through the defense. If Müjdat Gencal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Müjdat Gencal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erenay Mertel having to interfere. Tokatspor JK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
