When Ali Macit Yüce fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iskenderun's protests and gave Ali Macit Yüce a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Iskenderun's Ali Macit Yüce got a free kick in the 10th minute. The Iskenderun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Çelebi Yavuz should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Tuna Talayman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ömer Uğurata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferman Taygun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferman Taygun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Saadettin Şahbender charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lütfullah Bahçeli got free with Çelebi Yavuz in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mutlu Tunç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Ferman Taygun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Iskenderun booed when Afyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mutlu Tunç didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Iskenderun's Çelebi Yavuz got control of the ball when Lütfullah Bahçeli tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute Ferman Taygun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çelebi Yavuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
