Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arif Başeğmez started the match with the kick off. Arif Başeğmez might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melih Cevdet Usta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arif Başeğmez ran back to his position shaking his head. Melih Cevdet Usta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lütfi Tankut in the 6th minute. Lütfi Tankut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melih Cevdet Usta having to interfere. Lütfi Tankut came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Melih Cevdet Usta could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lütfi Tankut got free with Melih Cevdet Usta in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lütfi Tankut who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Melih Cevdet Usta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Arif Başeğmez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menekse's supporters rose to their feet, but Arif Başeğmez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melih Cevdet Usta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arif Başeğmez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melih Cevdet Usta having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramazan Taci in the 47th minute of play forced Menekse's goalkeeper Hıdır Mengübay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramazan Taci to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Menekse got a freekick which was hit by Sezen Cezri. The supporters of Menekse booed when Celebi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaptan Ulukut didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Ahmet Reha Çakıroğlu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melih Cevdet Usta skillfully saved the ball. Lütfi Tankut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melih Cevdet Usta having to interfere. When Menekse's Lütfi Tankut in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Celebi's goalie prevented a goal. In the 66th minute, Öztürk Eyüpoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melih Cevdet Usta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lütfi Tankut in the 76th minute of play. When Arif Başeğmez came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Menekse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arif Başeğmez couldn't finish the play. In the 79th match minute, Celebi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerimhan Kantara to maneuver through the defense. Melih Cevdet Usta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Başeğmez in the 82nd minute of the match.
