If Ayvaz İlkim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 4th minute, Ahmet Sedat İpekçi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th match minute, Erzinspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Levent Kalender to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Erzin's Yenal Tükelalp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mahir Özay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gürsel Derem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Sedat İpekçi might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anıl Ege İshak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Sedat İpekçi ran back to his position shaking his head. After 21 minutes, Levent Kalender mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Erzinspor and the Erzin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Levent Kalender hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anıl Ege İshak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Sedat İpekçi in the 27th minute of play. Anıl Ege İshak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceyhan Oba in the 31st minute of the match. Levent Kalender recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Erzin's zone, Levent Kalender stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anıl Ege İshak came out of the goal and Levent Kalender tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anıl Ege İshak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levent Kalender in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Erzin's goal looked a bit too open when Ayvaz İlkim came free, but Anıl Ege İshak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ünsal Pektaşi during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anıl Ege İshak came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Erzinspor's Ahmet Sedat İpekçi. But to his dismay, Ahmet Sedat İpekçi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Ahmet Sedat İpekçi came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Erzinspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Sedat İpekçi couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Ahmet Sedat İpekçi made the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Sedat İpekçi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Anıl Ege İshak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Levent Kalender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. Anıl Ege İshak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erzinspor. After having played for 72 minutes, Gürsel Derem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erzinspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gürsel Derem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anıl Ege İshak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erzinspor's Mahir Özay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yenal Tükelalp in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of Erzin booed when Erzinspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürsel Derem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erzinspor played a much better game than Erzin and deserved their victory. The Erzin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
