Semail Toktimur's late challenge caught a Igdir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Semail Toktimur helped the player get up and apologised. Semail Toktimur hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute, Ali Behzat Akdağ sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Yenicaga FK's Ergincan Temren didn't even have to move. Şansal Zeynel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adem Keyfer in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Yahya Birhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ergincan Temren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Orhan Barlas, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Igdir's Şansal Zeynel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Igdir from getting a goal against them. Adem Keyfer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Şansal Zeynel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Haydar Kutalp kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. A hard, long distance shot from Serter Poyraz flew over the goal. After a rather tough play, Igdir's Tekin Soyuer got a free kick in the 27th minute. Şansal Zeynel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menderes Olguner in the 33rd minute of play. Ali Orhan Barlas scored 0-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ergincan Temren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yenicaga FK's Ergincan Temren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Orhan Barlas in the 44th minute of play. Yahya Birhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ergincan Temren having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ali Orhan Barlas made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Igdir booed when Yenicaga FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serter Poyraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igdir's Ali Orhan Barlas got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Igdir! Yahya Birhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Ergincan Temren made a huge save. Igdir's Şansal Zeynel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Menderes Olguner in the 81st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yahya Birhan got free with Ergincan Temren in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ergincan Temren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Orhan Barlas in the 86th minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Yenicaga FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serter Poyraz to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Ali Orhan Barlas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adem Keyfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şansal Zeynel having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
