Develi's Saffet Akkaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balaban Özkutay in the 5th minute of play. Develi's Saffet Akkaş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Develi from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Balaban Özkutay in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saffet Akkaş saved Develi from getting behind. Deniz Akçasu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bedri Barkın, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Develi's Saffet Akkaş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Develi from getting a goal against them. If Mustafa Necati Hacı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deniz Akçasu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arif Gaffar Er's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Korkutalp İğdemir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Develi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mecitözü the free kick. After 25 played minutes Develi got a freekick which was hit by Korkutalp İğdemir. After a defensive mix-up in Develi's zone, Ahmet Asım Onkal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saffet Akkaş came out of the goal and Ahmet Asım Onkal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mecitözü's Balaban Özkutay got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Balaban Özkutay received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Saffet Akkaş came out and tried to block the shot, but Balaban Özkutay slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 37th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Recep Tayyip Akasoy during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mecitözü's Recep Tayyip Akasoy got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Balaban Özkutay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mecitözü's supporters rose to their feet, but Balaban Özkutay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saffet Akkaş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Akay İlteber charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Akay İlteber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Develi getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Akay İlteber hit a great ball. In the 56th minute of the match Tolga Erol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saffet Akkaş skillfully saved the ball. When Akay İlteber was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. After 59 played minutes Develi got a freekick which was hit by Akay İlteber. When Balaban Özkutay came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Mecitözü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balaban Özkutay couldn't finish the play. Develi's Saffet Akkaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Asım Onkal in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Balaban Özkutay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saffet Akkaş was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Saffet Akkaş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Turgut Ülker's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Saffet Akkaş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balaban Özkutay, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Samim Arpacıoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. Ahmet Asım Onkal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mustafa Necati Hacı fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Develi's protests and gave Mustafa Necati Hacı a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Develi getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Mustafa Necati Hacı hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mecitözü had won after a very even match.
