The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Feyzullay Aurelio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmet Kutsi Taşkınay. Yayladere FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Feyzullay Aurelio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Rahmi Sadan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feyzullay Aurelio struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Ahmet Kutsi Taşkınay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaziosmanpasa. Özbek Aktaşoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Feyzullay Aurelio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Kutsi Taşkınay was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ahmet Kutsi Taşkınay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rahmi Sadan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rahmi Sadan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yayladere FK's Ahmet Kutsi Taşkınay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahmi Sadan in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Yayladere FK's Olgun Kutlucan got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Gaziosmanpasa's Tuncer Ahioğlu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 44th minute Derman Başat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Asım Sezginay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Gaziosmanpasa were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rahmi Sadan to make the kick off. Ahmet Kutsi Taşkınay made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Feyzullay Aurelio sent off a good shot on target. After 54 played minutes Yayladere FK got a freekick which was hit by Olgun Kutlucan. Saip Erşahan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Kutsi Taşkınay. Yayladere FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Hürkan İlkcan fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaziosmanpasa's protests and gave Hürkan İlkcan a yellow card for diving instead. Hürkan İlkcan hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Gaziosmanpasa's goal looked a bit too open when Derman Başat came free, but Ali Asım Sezginay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Cahit Ömür left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yayladere FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Derman Başat hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Feyzullay Aurelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ahmet Kutsi Taşkınay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buğra Ataergin in the 94th minute of play forced Yayladere FK's goalkeeper Ahmet Kutsi Taşkınay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Derman Başat notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Gaziosmanpasa's Ali Asım Sezginay. Ali Asım Sezginay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Yayladere FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gaziosmanpasa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
