Aykutalp Engintalay made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Yalçın Hiçyılmaz sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th minute Yalçın Hiçyılmaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aykutalp Engintalay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yakacik's Yalçın Hiçyılmaz got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Hadi Oyal fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hadi Oyal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Hadi Oyal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aykutalp Engintalay was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Davut Sartık during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Ahmet Davut Sartık hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hadi Oyal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Aykutalp Engintalay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Hadi Oyal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aykutalp Engintalay was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Hatay FK's Aykutalp Engintalay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Hatay FK from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the game, Hikmet Erboğa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Kamer Özbilgin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 38 minutes, İlbey Suavi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yakacik and the Hatay FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hatay FK booed when Yakacik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. İlbey Suavi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barışcan Secaattin kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hatay FK's Aykutalp Engintalay got control of the ball when Yalçın Hiçyılmaz tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Akın Laçin was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Keramettin Tuney in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Yakacik's İlbey Suavi. Barışcan Yurtsever kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Yalçın Hiçyılmaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aykutalp Engintalay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yalçın Hiçyılmaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aykutalp Engintalay having to interfere. If Hikmet Erboğa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Yakacik's zone, Hikmet Erboğa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamer Özbilgin came out of the goal and Hikmet Erboğa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Yakacik's goal looked a bit too open when Akın Laçin came free, but Kamer Özbilgin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hatay FK's Aykutalp Engintalay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yalçın Hiçyılmaz in the 88th minute of play. Yakacik's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
