Gökay İdil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kıraç Ayaydın in the 4th minute of the match. If Ferid Eke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Alsancak SK's goal looked a bit too open when Kıraç Ayaydın came free, but Gökay İdil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamdullah Akboy kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Çelebi Tatar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. After 19 minutes of play, Istanbul's Kıraç Ayaydın made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gökay İdil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alsancak SK's Gökay İdil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferid Eke in the 23rd minute of play. Baybars Cezlan kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ceyhun Taciroğlu struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Gökay İdil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Istanbul. Gökay İdil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kıraç Ayaydın went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute Sedat Altuğ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sungurbey Tunçkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Alsancak SK's goal looked a bit too open when Kıraç Ayaydın came free, but Gökay İdil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferid Eke to strike the kick off in the second half. If Hamdullah Akboy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. After 63 played minutes Alsancak SK got a freekick which was hit by Güner Özdener. Gökay İdil made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Kıraç Ayaydın sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute, Kıraç Ayaydın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Alsancak SK getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Volkan Kuntay hit a great ball. If Kıraç Ayaydın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Alsancak SK's Güner Özdener got a free kick in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Istanbul's goal looked a bit too open when Necip Ilgıt came free, but Sungurbey Tunçkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Istanbul's Sungurbey Tunçkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necip Ilgıt in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alsancak SK's zone, Kıraç Ayaydın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökay İdil came out of the goal and Kıraç Ayaydın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferid Eke in the 93rd minute of play forced Alsancak SK's goalkeeper Gökay İdil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Istanbul's Ferid Eke got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Rüstem Taşer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alsancak SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Istanbul the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Alsancak SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rüstem Taşer to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Istanbul's Çelebi Tatar tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Istanbul played a much better game than Alsancak SK and deserved their victory. The Alsancak SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
